Irritating Security

One of my favorite memories of cash control was irritating the security guys. The cash control office had several cameras in it, so security was watching us constantly.

One afternoon, we decided to have a pot-luck picnic. We all brought in loads of food, and put it on the table that just happened to be in front of the security camera. Apparently, it really pissed the security guard watching the cameras off, because he called the C.C. Director, who had to come down and talk to us. He basically told us that Security didn't think it was fair that we could eat on the job and they couldn't. Then he left (and didn't make us stop!).

We were always so mean to Security.... :p

That was in 1983. Bally still owned SFOT, so we had video game arcades EVERYWHERE. Sunday night was when we emptied all the tokens out of the games, and into pickle barrels - GEEZ those things were heavy...!

Yeah, sometimes it wasn't fun going on those coin runs. Especially during the summer when it stacked up quick. Did ya ever have fun with the Toshiba machines... the ones that rolled the coins? I really do miss that department!
