Re: Texas Sky Screamer

I'm curious about how they're gonna route foot traffic around there. Are they gonna blaze a new path between Crazy Legs and Judge Roy to replace that awkward hidden stairway passage? (I can't imagine...

Re: Cliffhanger demolition

Sad... but inevitable. Cliffhanger and its ilk tended to be very breakdown-prone. I remember when SkyScreamer, its Astroworld counterpart, seemed to be closed almost every other day.

Re: Amusement Park Restoration Law

Yeah, I hate Texas' legislative setup with a passion. Not much time to take care of even the important business, and "running out the clock" is sometimes used as a political maneuver by either party....

A great memory in the making... first SFOT visit for my daughter

I have two adopted children thanks to the foster care program. One we took in back in 2009 at age 5, the other in 2010 at 6 months. We finalized the adoption in the fall of 2011.

The 5-year-old...

Re: Fright night videos

I remember going to Fright Fest in 1994. Back then they set up the haunted houses as a bunch of tents, and you took the employee entrance from Spain to the little parking lot over there, that's where...

Re: Rides that should never be removed

It just seems like EVERY time I go to Six Flags recently, the oil derrick is closed. Does the wind REALLY affect the tower that much? Is there anything that can be done to reinforce that thing?

Re: The Go-Karts are gone?

I'm guessing El Chico was in the building next to Fiesta de los Tazas. I've hardly ever seen that place used as a restaurant lately. In fact, they used it for season pass processing a month ago. Is...

Re: Embarrassing Moments

1997. My (now ex-)wife and I took my 7-year-old nephew to Six Flags. We wanted to ride the Flume, but he didn't... and threw a crying fit like a 2-year-old.

Thank God I haven't gone through...

Re: Rides that should never be removed

You'd think the Tower/observation deck was closed permanently already. :P If they have to do that, at least bring back the slides. (And maybe build a fancy bridge from just west of the stunt show...

Nice to see this place is still around. I've been thinking about how France gets no love from SFOT these days (Just 1-2 merchants and a nostalgia area.... pathetic), and how they could possibly...

This is unbelieveable... I was thinking one of those rides for sure would end up in France, but once again they get the shaft. Is this some political thing??? I just hate to see one themed area...

It doesn't bother me at all. Bugs Bunny and all them go back just as far as Disney does, and Warner had every right to throw them in the Six Flags parks back when they owned them outright. I chuckled...

Tower Section. Love the rides (Shock Wave is my favorite SFOT coaster), hate the name... sounds so generic.

If it were up to me, I'd re-theme it after the Pacific Northwest and call it "The Wild...

D'oh... forgot about Freeze.

OK, here's a solution (though the difficulty in pulling this off may be huge)... have Superman and the Great Chute-Out swap places. Keep BTR where it is. DC...

FastPASS... that's right... last time I was at SFOT was 2001, I guess I do need to catch up.

People keep saying there's no new coaster in those 10 rides, so I'm not really hyped up for the...

I heard the strip mall space is gonna hold new picnic pavilions. Which I think is a waste, because that's a pretty high-profile corner. I was hoping one of the coasters from Astroworld could go there.

I just wish I had the money to buy the property the Texas Cyclone is on so I can sit on it until someone bought and moved the coaster with the intent on running it again.

2006 Season Passes?

Anyone have an idea when 2006 Season Passes for SFOT go on sale? Fiesta's already selling theirs for $46.99... will there be a similar sale price (or real close, anyways) for SFOT's?

(For the...

An idea for an "X"-style coaster...

I've never been to Magic Mountain, never ridden the "X", but I'd like to see a coaster like that in SFOT... but themed after The Matrix. It's a WB film, so it wouldn't be really out of place.
