Re: Shock-a-loop
Whenever a guest asks me if it's going to open I've just been telling them it will be closed all summer for maintenance. And now that the accident on Giant happened, obviously no work at all is being...

Re: Texas Sky Screamer
The queue house was torn down months ago to make room for the crane to drive through. I never even thought anything about it the few times I went back there to make sure everything was secure. Until...

Re: Texas Sky Screamer
They added a path around the Krazy Legs ride up to the side of the COQH opposite from Majestic Theater, I think that's going to be the exit and the entrance will probably be the old Chute Out exit.

Re: Texas Sky Screamer
Six Flags posted a status on Facebook the other day, it's supposed to open on May 25th. As far as anyone who is not part of the construction crew can tell, it's fully completed. They're still working...

I'm not sure what would be on a roller coaster that would be such sensitive electronics, but you would be surprised at what even minor temperature changes can do to electrical devices.

Re: New for 2013
Actually it's a total of seven 65-foot holes that are 4 feet in diameter. Last I saw they had the three western supports and center support drilled, rebar up and concrete in.
Movin along nicely...

Re: New for 2013
I just heard the other day that Casa is going to be used for additional Season Pass Processing. During Fright Fest last year the line for processing actually reached Judge Roy Scream.

Casa is still there, but it's not open any more. I think the kitchen is still used though.

Re: Flash Back
Well Flashback is no longer at SFOT. All the repainting has been done and it's all but got a sign that says "Boomerang" for it's new location in St Louis.
It's in the process of being loaded up and...

Re: New for 2013: Food's Own Season Pass!
Here's some details for the new dining pass:
It MUST be scanned at the front gate, same rules of "loan your pass lose your pass" apply to this one. I'm not sure if they've found a way to make its...

Six Flags announced on Facebook today that they're offering a new type of "Season Pass" so-to-speak. Pay once, and get free dining all year. Sounds like a good idea, much like a Christmas Present...

I like how this lady claimed to have been raised on a farm and knew of the 'dangerous nature' of goats, yet one of the points in her suit was that Six Flags did not have signage posted to inform her...

I hear they're planning to keep the trees right where they're at. That's not the old Chut Out Tree, those are entirely new. And I hear they're going to be improved next year as this year was kind of...

It's a huge issue now, someone got killed up in Canada or something so now NO ONE is allowed in the ride perimeter at all unless the entire ride has been powered down to lock out tag out standards...

Re: Chute Out
The brick house surrounding the base of Chute Out has a bunch of hand written messages on its bricks now; if it's not already gone, perhaps someone could get a pic of that before it's removed?

It always costs more to create a new ride than it does to move one. The majority of the materials are already assembled, all that's needed is the foundation and a few relatively minor adjustments to...

Unless something's changed this year, SFOT is strict on the no-outside food & drink policy. Baby food is one thing, but four individual sandwiches would probably not be allowed in. There is a gas...

Re: Texas SkyScreamer - new for 2013
True, but what can you possibly put in Majestic's spot? Another small ride like Cloud Bouncer or Sidewinder. That's not going to attract more guests to this area of the park. However MT is likely...
