Re: New Texas Giant loading procedures

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks! I thought of that name once, but didn't want to guess if I was right. I didn't want anyone getting whiplash trying to correct me when I got some detail wrong.lol

Re: New Texas Giant loading procedures

The concept brings to mind one of the rides they had at Astroworld. I'm sure someone will remember better than I do, but they had a coaster with a moving conveyor belt on the loading dock. I remember...

Re: New Texas Giant loading procedures

lol:no:

As for the rest, I'd love to comment or elaborate more, but I still work there so I officially have no opinions to offer except that I support Six Flags 110%, whatever they decide to do....

New Texas Giant loading procedures

I was curious if anyone else had heard about this yet or seen it going on over the last weekend at Holiday in the Park?

Re: The Chute Out Christmas Tree is Back

They always close Gotham/Goodtimes Square for HIP, but not sure if that will effect the new ride or not. Not that it's up to me, but I think the 300 ft tree on the tower is a perfect location. A 400...

Speaking of that lovely green, here's the colours for the new "Boomerang", aka the old "Flashback".

Re: The Chute Out Christmas Tree is Back

Ok, I think I finally figured out how to upload the picture.

Here's what the tree on the tower looks like. The real trees by Music Mill kind of blocked the view a bit, but it still looks cool.

Re: The Chute Out Christmas Tree is Back

The actual star from on top of Chute Out has been incorporated into the park as well. Look for it during Holiday in the Park. It won't be hard to find.:jeez:

Re: Haunted Six Flags

Thanks for that link. It's funny to see what people think are supposed to be ghosts. I still work overnights and I still maintain that there are no ghosts in that park. I wish there were. At least...

Re: Texas SkyScreamer - new for 2013

I wasn't here in '76 when it was built, but I'm gonna take a wild guess it isn't possible they installed it as one piece. I'm gonna take another wild guess that the supe didn't know what they were...

Re: Back In The Blue

Actually, there's a lot of names still used. Cave ride, plantation chicken, yo-yo, boomerang, attitudes, aunt addie's, chevy show theatre, wax hands, miss abigail's, chubbies, rose's cantina, cactus...

Re: Map Errors

The Chicken Fried Steak special they have is pretty good. Everything else tastes like it did back in the 90's.

Re: Map Errors

I'm not sure what their logic was, but apparently a few years back they changed it so that employees aren't allowed to eat in the park. Either bring your lunch or the canteen...So, bring your...

Re: What trains are these?

Sorry, a lot of things were said in the posts before mine. I was just adding my own two cents. Obviously, I'm wrong and I'm ok with that.

Re: Map Errors

Those burgers at Gator's were good. I haven't eaten there since employees aren't allowed to eat in the park anymore. Well, in uniform anyway. I don't go out there much when I'm not working anymore....

Re: What trains are these?

Re: Not a bad deal for being 'fired'.

I know if I got fired from the park they'd laugh their asses off if I asked for severance pay. As for the article, since I still work there I guess I'm better off not having any "opinion" on the...

Re: Amusement park vs. Theme park

I agree with this. It's a little of both, but moving more towards the amusement side.
