Thanks! I was up too late when I posted that. Too tired to even get on Google.

I think I might have worked over there once or twice in my early days...and I preferred the stand-ups over the sit downs as they were a breeze to load and unload...close the gates...kick the lock over...step down on the release to make sure it was locked...magnet in hand...to the panel and up they went! I can actually remember the first season of Chute Out...the lines were really long...I think I might even have a few of the old 'Geronimo' buttons that they passed out to everyone that rode it!

When and why did they remove some of the parachutes from the Chute-out? Considering they rarely run more than 2 chutes at a time, do you think they will ever remove this icon?
Umm, this post was made on Nov 11th right as the park was getting ready for HIP. They do this every year, all chutes are removed from Chute Out and Christmas lights hung up in their place. The chutes have already been replaced for the 2011 season.

Not what I meant. The original set up had more chutes than it does now. Almost like they had to remove 2 or 3 stations all together. You can see the remains of the removed parts on the ground around the base of the tower.

They removed the stand-up buckets sometime in the 90s.
