Thanks for the trip report, Brandon. We went out last week as well but, as you say in your report, Spring Break is a terrible time to visit the park. We got "reservations" to ride Shockwave but knowing the line was still 1:30 even so, we wound up not riding. Glad to hear it was a good experience. In fact, the only thing we rode all afternoon was a round trip on the train. Still an enjoyable afternoon, however.

The front gate set up does seem to make things go smoother, not sure if it's because there are more metal detectors or what (I counted 20) but the line was almost non-existent although the park itself was crowded.

And, as you noted, all is right in the world again--Chaps entrance is back in its original place as it should be. Now, if they would just tear down the temporary que.

As far as the front gate reconfig goes I can tell you this much - the back gate, under Bobsled has not been used yet this season. They have obviously figured out how to funnel folks in through the front gates. Hats off to Jeremey Bushek for finally fixing this issue!
