Arrow SFOT on RollerCoaster Tycoon

I made these on the original version of RCT with the Loopy Landscapes expansionback around 2001, mainly due to boredom. Keep in mind that the original RCT game allowed far less as far as scenery, rides, pathing and design. There are four different versions of SFOT parks from different eras: the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2001.

ShockWave

LaSalle's Adventure

Skull Island

Make sure you read the "Read Me First" file after you unzip these parks, as it contains important info, plus the file contains the patch that allows these game files to load, run and be saved. Also, most versions of RCT with the Loopy Landscapes expansion work fine for these files, but a very small number of the game versions may not run them, namely "RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe".

Have fun! Download below:

It works with the following versions :

* 1.20.012 (unpatched LL)
* 1.20.013 New! (first [26]official patch for LL, the Win2k patch)

LL is Loopy Landscapes

Ack, yes, I used Loopy Landscapes. Let me edit the original post. I'm getting flighty in my old age.

Thanks Clint!

You might wanna delete the other non-LL versions from the list as I corrected my stupid error.

Wow! You really had some time on your hands when you made those. And I must say you did a great job, especially with the limitations of the software and the fact that it takes lots of patience.

Thanks. At the time I had plenty of free-time. I was self-employed as an entertainer and my offtime suddely became free due to going through a divorce from "The Redhead".

She had no hair; just a red head! *rimshot*

Thanks, Merv!

It might also be fun to rename certain employees in the RCT park to actual current or ex employees. My focus when I made these wasn't on keeping the park clean, but on simply building the park. Certain areas are prone to vandalism and to letting puke accumulate. Maybe Merv can nominate certain people to deal with the problem for us.

Have you thought about doing these parks in RCT3?

RCT3 is such a memory hog. I pondered recreating individual attractions, as that would be "doable", but the entire park would drain the system. Another reason to recreate individual attractions would be that I could make videos of them, just like so many others do for coasters, etc. By uploading those videos to YouTube, one can watch them without having to spend $30 on the game itself.

While I'm no "artisan" of those types of games, I've thought about piddling with a RCT3 version of LaSalle's and maybe The Cave. Or maybe I could simply hire any normal 12 year-old kid to do it for me!

No Limits allows for coaster creation that rivals any other, but not for other ride types (no darkrides, water rides, etc).

RCt247 has the best version of SFOT I've seen for the RCT2 platform. By far.

That's true but it's not much of a problem with today's computers at least the higher end ones. I like it because it so much more customizable than previous versions. Lots of user created addons to improve the look of your park. NoLimits is definately a great coaster building simulation game and is still unrivaled but it's sadly showing it's age but so is RCT3
