Default Shockwave Repaint
I drove past Shockwave this morning and I noticed that Shockwave is in the process of being repainted. It's still the green and blue theme but to me the colors look brighter almost neon in color.

Is this normal maintenance or something else?

The Shock Wave has changed colors so many times, it should be renamed The Chameleon.

I like that idea. Haha. Anyway, normal maintenance as I was told. I didn't know anything about it until I saw someone in a cherry picker rubbing paint off the top of the second loop. (Lift at mine train has a great vantage point. You can see quite a bit)

Already had a Chameleon ride/attraction at the park. Not sure WHY it was called that, though.

To me, anything but white, navy blue or silver just looks wrong on the Shock-a-loop.

I went to sfot on Sunday and the la viper is blue because of repainting. Also on shock wave the whole circle before the brake run is neon green along with the loops.

Baynum Painting are industrial painters that apparently specialize in amusement rides. They're in charge of painting Shock Wave and La Vibora. They have a blog post about the Shock Wave repainting: http://baynumpainting.wordpress.com/...-a-shock-wave/ (they even tell you what paint they're using, you know, just in case you need to paint your own coaster).
