Not really. Just a pie in the sky idea trolling for investors. They did a big kickoff event in downtown Fort Worth in June of last year and not a word has been heard from them since.

DreamVision announced the park when they announced that they were opening a new office in Fort Worth. Their name says it all, they have a "Dream" and a "vision". As near as I can tell, however, they don't even anything else. They don't even have an idea where such a park would be built. No locations were discussed other than this area.
I think even in their dreams, this park is 10 to 20 years away. //DreamVision is not related to Dreamworks. //

I did a little digging around they haven't even updated their website in over a year. I think the dream may have died before it got started.

yeah, I just looked at their website and for a media company that thinks they are the next Pixar it's really bad...I finally found a clip of their work on Vimeo from 3 years ago and the only thing on their youtube page is of the Ft. Worth fireworks show and one they did in FL...so yeah, I don't think company could even run a carnival, let alone build a theme park
I don't subscribe to Attractions magazine but know people who do and it's usually on the shelves around town so I will try to find a copy this weekend to read the full article |

These things take years to plan and lots of contracts are involved so something like this could be years away but I like the idea. If it gets built it can bring a big boost to the area and lots of jobs created I hope they are getting this project planned.

Yep, even the website is very vague. They should be proudly promoting like P. T. Barnum, not like a city promoting a swimming pool. Any investors/lenders would want to see a business plan as well as a proven track record before turning over a single dime.

I saw Bud Kennedy wrote a piece on this place over the weekend
http://www.star-telegram.com/opinion...le9367799.html and they released a video that walks through the different areas of the park http://youtu.be/8bv0puiOP2Q still not buying it though...but I did notice that in their Candyland area they threw the Wonka's name on one of the buildings...that's just asking for trouble unless they already secured those rights |
