Hey Alan, they also just released the old The Story and Song from the Haunted Mansion on CD. It has Ron Howard and Robie Lester as the main characters in the story and Thurl Ravenscroft as the narrator (most people know his voice from the Grinch or Tony the Tiger, but has a ton of other voice credits to his name). BTW, if anyone ever sees the original record of this at a garage sale, go ahead and pick that up for me and I'll give you $20 bucks for it...i promise that's all it's worth

Thurl Ravenscroft didn't do the voice for The Grinch. That honor belongs to Boris Karloff.

I bought a cassette re-release at the Disney Store in the 90's sometime, but I'd much rather have the original album. I had a used one as a kid that came from a garage sale.

By the way, just about any Haunted Mansion fan has followed this site over the years, but here's the link for those who may have missed out:

How true! Doombuggies is one of the best ride-related fan sites I've visited.

Thurl Ravenscroft did in fact sing the song "You're a mean one Mr. Grinch" in the How the Grinch Stole Christmas...he wasn't listed in the credits, leading many to believe Boris Kaloff did it, but it was in fact Mr. Ravenscroft

This forum is a refreshing change. Now to hijack the Disney Railroad threads away....

I love Haunted Mansion! I have been on both MK at Disney World and the one at Disneyland. I prefer MK. I have the The Official Album: Disneyland/Walt Disney World that I bought in the 90's. It has Grim Grinning Ghosts on it! The main reason I bought it was for the old Illuminations soundtrack, since I am a classical music buff. I will be happy to share any tracks on that cd if anyone has any requests. The track list is located here

I too prefer the WDW version of HM. It was extended visually, plus it added the extra soundtrack for the Library section.
