Default Gene Patrick passes away

Gene Patrick, one of the early contributors to Six Flags Over Texas, passed away Saturday September 8th at 72.

Mr. Patrick was part of the creative team that put together the early amphitheater (pre-Southern Palace) shows. He did many of the musical arrangements, including the first campus revues in 1962. He also performed in the many of the shows. He is also reported to be the person that made the original musical selections for the Speelunker's cave.

He worked at many other parks after Six Flags and started his own show production company.

He later became an Arlington City Councilman.

Default Re: Gene Patrick passes away

I just spoke to Mr Patrick last week when he called our non-emergency line for a minor police matter.

He was a nice man, and a pillar of the Arlington community.
