Probably because the city insists on hiring people with degrees for their media positions, rather than people who are any good at the job.

The audio seems to have been fixed since then. I never saw the other shortage you mentioned, Alan, so no idea if that's been fixed. I don't care for the ones that are "fixed" anyway. And aren't you the one who proudly resides in Texas' version of "Silicon" Valley?
