The food that is offered with the all you can stand pass is already being prepped for other customers anyway and it's all done at a pretty low cost.

low quality food = low food cost = higher profits

$10 burger and fries = $2 to make (and that's generous and adding in labor)=$8 profit

and the number of people not using the the pass far out weigh those that are...so it takes 4 passholders for them to lose the profit of one day guest and rarely would the park ever be 25% passholders taking advantage of the food pass

plus the BIG markup is on soda so if the passholder buys a $3 coke with their meal (since it's not included) or even refill a sports quart, that's almost all profit

the park is also under the assumption that the pass will bring you to the park more which is more chances that you will spend money on more merch or other food/drinks since you "saved" so much money eating for "free"

also at $70 for the pass you'd have to eat a lot of food (35 burgers using the math above) before you start cutting into potential profits

Six Flags may make some bad management decisions in the past/current/future but as a rule the accountants are pretty smart and prob have the data to back up the numbers on why it's a good deal for the parks and an OK deal for the user is its maximized

There's 2 time frames when you can use the pass; it's not a use-anytime-you-want thing. Lunch is served from 11-3 or something like that, then dinner is served from 4:30-7 or something like that. I think there's also a snack choice, but there's only certain restaurants that you can pick your meals and snack at as well. They also get the refillable sport quart/soda cup for free, but are still subject to the 99 cent refill price.

kinda odd that they restrict it to peak times...you'd think they have it in the slow times to help keep the crowds down...
