Default Food Service Annual '87

Stumbling through some old stuff and found an annual that the Food Service department made in 1987. When I have time, I'll scan and post some pics.

I'm the second kid from the right. We had a good crew, although not all are shown... (I think this is just the night shift). The pic was taken in the back area behind Dixie Belle's.

Scanned a couple more pics of the bigger restaurants. It used to be that Dixie's, Casa, and Chicken Plantation sparred weekly for the biggest profits. Looks like these guys are on the Conquistador ride.

Finally, here's a pic of the food service management. I remember kids getting nervous every time Mike Davis showed up at their stand for an impromptu inspection.

In '76 or '77 i don't really remember now...Mike Davis used to come up to the top of the tower and check with the change givers to see if we'd come across any Silver dimes. I'd usually hand over a few. We'd give out change for the telescopes, which were only a dime to use back then. Mike must have a treasure chest full of silver dimes in his closet.

Yes! Thanks for the pics!

Just to show that you never know who you'll run into ... Holmes Brannon was my main English teacher at Arlington's Lamar High School in the late 1970s. In fact, I was just starting my brief SFOT career in the spring of 1978, while I was still in one of his classes.

Default You just never know who you will run into

My elementary computer teacher was a food service manager in my park services area in 1998.
