Mexican Marketplace

The Mexican Marketplace 0f 1961 provided plenty of shopping opportunities. Small stands littered the main thoroughfare, selling baskets, pottery, blankets, rugs, carved glassware, and wood carvings. Resembling adobe haciendas with straw roofs, shops sold a variety of imports, flowers, and souvenirs. Hand-painted lanterns and colorful, bouquet baskets were hung everywhere. At any moment, entertainers performed without a schedule.
