Default Famous people

Hey Alan,
I hate to correct you but Linda Carter was there in 77 for the opening of Spinaker. I got to guard her and hold an umbrella over her head. She was there in the rain with all her "people". We walked her into the picnic area next to the Southern Palace where she signed autographs for an hour or so. She didn't have much of a following that I remember but I think that was because of the rain.

That same summer Neil got me into the dressing room of Charlie Rich where he autographed an album for me. Charlie Rich was a real jerk up close and personal (actually more of a drunk) but I still relish the album that he signed for me. Course like so many others these days, I no longer have a record player for my albums so they are all stashed away in the back of my closet. One day I will pull them out and play them for my kids who have never seen a real record.

Well, that is about all I can remember for now. Happy Dayz to all.

Of course that's not counting the famous people I've seen and talked to outside of Six Flags

2001- Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends) was in town filming Serving Sarah with Elizabeth Hurly...Rumor was that they both were coming to the park...turned out to be only him...anyway they were being escorted with the people from PR and he didn't want to ride Titan because "its the same thing at Magic Mountain"...I actually told him it was a little diffrent and he stood next to me by the drivers panel while I brought in the next train...he rode in the front seat and when he came back into the station he had tears in his eyes from the wind I'm sure, but I like to think otherwise)...gave me a thumbs up and left...so I can honestly say I made a celeb cry.

Heh, I remember that. Wasn't it Gladney Skittle night? Liz Steinecke and Charles Henley were with me when I duped the "buddy pass" system to get them in for a private party. We were 2 or 3 trains away from a front row seat in the train and we saw him get off. This was the same ride where Charles' shirt came up over his head and wrapped around the headrest behind him. . .

I was at the Mavericks season ticket holder thing. A friend of mine worked for the Mavs and got me tickets. I got my picture taken with almost everyone I think. It was good times.

Default famous people

I remember when Elton John came into the park, he had his security and SFOT security around him. I saw him both in the E lot and in the Employee canteen.

In return, Troy promised everyone who stayed autographed footballs, which he never delivered.
Working at Flume we did not get to many celebrities, but we did get Troy Aikman and Lori Morgan. Aikman was like a kid and could not wait to ride. Lori Morgan did nothing but bitch about the wet log and wanted us to dry the seats and to provide a way to keep her dry. They rode several times until she pulled him off of it.

I remember that day. I was working at Runaway Mountain when I got the call that Matthew Perry may be coming to the ride. Unfortunately he didn't ride. But I have had some of the Mav's Dancers ride Bobsled and a few of the lesser known Dallas Cowboy's players ride.

Wink Famous people

In the late 80's, my family and I saw Mr. Peppermint. In full suit and getup. He was standing right in front of Splash Water Falls.
