My mistake. Not the 1812 overture.

the William Tell overture (Lone Ranger theme)

Told you my brain was murky yesterday.

The only specific song I remember from my first season was "Love Train." I heard it over and over again while sitting on the lift of the Big Bend in '78. Other perky disco tunes in the modern section as well, but somehow it was the words ot "Love Train" that burrowed into my head.

I have no idea what the names of the tunes were, but the accordion music in France is something I'll always associate with late nights working the unloading dock at River. It would be relatively quiet after about 11:00pm and with only two or three boats out there would be long stretches of time with nothing to do. You could stand in the shadows near the end of the dock and be almost invisible, and the accordion music seemed very appropriate, somehow.

I also remember the words to the dancing tamales soundtrack on the railroad. They aren't hard to recall:"La la la la la, la la la la la, lalalalalalala, lalalalalalala! (repeat)"

Anyone but me remember the song for the Fiesta Train? It was an instrumental, mostly strings, very upbeat, very mariachi-like. I worked a couple of doubles in the kennel, and the Fiesta Train ran right beside it, with the speakers and the music running in a constant loop. I can still hear that - 35 years later!

I loved when the music started in the morning while I walked to my ride, clipboard in hand. Quiet, serene, and some great tunes. I'd add 'Rocky Top' to the Boomtown list. Surely there is someone with contacts at the park that can determine the music lists over the years? Anyone?
