Post Any old folks out there (1968-1971)

Just found the site again. I was at the park 1968-1971. Worked Gnd Maint (1), Food/Bev(1) and Operations(2) primarily TX Lift and railroad(both ends). Anyone form that time period signed up here? Any one remember the Six Flags fraternity that was started then - (Sigma Phi Omega Tau - SFOT)?

Welcome to the forums and join right in to the discussions!. Feel free to share any memories that you have of working there at SFOT. Some readers don't check the site as often as others, but it all gets read in time. We also have certain people who love talking about working Lift and Railroad!

I’m from a later time period, but someone did mention the fraternity to me in passing once. M.P. worked on the railroad or Astrolift about your time frame, but I don't think he is on these boards.

I remember hearing the “BANG” bash was a big deal then.

The removed rides section has some descriptions of the Astrolift.

Yep.. I had a Navy Jersey with white letters with the logo. Got it from my brother Larry Reynolds who was part of that...at least I think he drank the coolaid/beer.

I love it when people define the old folks with years before my time.
