The Looney Tunes animatronics were built by Sally Corporation. In years since, they have actually approached SFOT about creating a newer upgraded version of the Spee-lunkers to go in the cave, but the park passed on the proposal. And Sally is the industry's biggest builder of the interactive light gun dark rides. Getting rid of the water troughs would definitely open up so many new options, including their trackless dark ride system that they use a lot now. Increasing throughput and re-rideability would be the biggest selling point to most parks. Or if they didn't want a trackless system, as Vance pointed out the omnimover system would speed the loading up tremendously (except for occasional short delays for loading handicapped riders).

And the vice president of design at Sally now is a SFOT/spee-lunker fan who spent a lot of time here in the "glory years" and would capture the feel and mood of the classic ride, but incorporate modern technology.

even that is being improved on many of the new rides where the handicapped accessible/wheelchair accessible car can be diverted off the track, loaded/unloaded in a different area, then rejoin the ride

I knew that worked on rides like Space Mountain but wasn't aware of them doing that with the Omnimovers --- very cool.

Don't they have something like that for the Forbidden Forest ride at Universal?

DREAM JOB!! Of course he probably doesn't think of it that way.

I'm coming back in my next life as a ride designer....
or a hawk.

Actually, he LOVES it! One of the most creative folks I've ever met. And now he has an outlet for it, world-wide.

Only thing they are doing with the Adventure Theater right now is Zombie Factory. Which is a Haunted house. They took out the first row of seats to make it into one. I would not waste your time on it though.
