I remember that! I think they used a disco version of 2001: a Space Odyssey when the ship came out, right? Man, that was cool!

So was the prowling gorilla! I used to think he really was going to get me and I used to grab on tight to the bench when he'd come by!

I also remember the big octopus puppet they used in a few shows (where they'd play some Beatles numbers), which was really neat.

Here are two pics of the Krofft puppet show, presented at the 1964 World's Fair, which inspired Angus Wynne Jr to employ Sid and Marty Krofft for Six Flags.

I remember the Flying Saucer well. I also remember there were puppets of Bogie and Hepburn on the African Queen, with Bogie muttering he deserved the Oscar, for having to pull the boat through the water. One number featured the song, "Hello, Hello," made famous by Claudine Longet, wife of Andy Williams.

The guy in the 2nd picture, 3rd puppet from the right is really Twisted before he started twisting balloons. He played a mean piano back then.
