I still don't know how they got an office in the engine... that was barely a small shed for storing cleaning stuff and crossing straps and height sticks. Must have been some undiscovered space I never knew about.

height sticks, pans/brooms, went underneath the engine at the door. You had just enough room to stand up and there was some storage space next to your head for cleaning supplies. There was a desk inside there as well but that is about all the room you had.

The real railroad caboose that functioned as "Lost Parents" in the early 80's was way cool. Probably wouldn't pass muster as safe for young children, though. Kids liked to climb up to the upper level too look out of the windows, risking nasty falls to the floor below.

Some Front Gate employees comandeered the caboose after an "all night party" at Six Flags and slept there, instead of the company sanctioned accomodations in the Southern Palace. Had all of the amenities you would need--a door that locks, relative privacy, air conditioning, and a nearby restroom.
